MacWireless 802.11b USB Adapter
"The MacWireless 802.11B USB Adapter is the perfect solution for the pre-AirPort Mac desktop crowd who want to join the Wi-Fi revolution to share devices and files. Compact and handsome, its sharp lines look great next to stylish modern Macs. Set up is a breeze (just plug it into the free USB port), and the hardware is fully compatible with other Airport devices
[and] offers network status information not available to AirPort users,
Support at the vendor’s Web site and by phone is both quick and thorough, which is of essence to home networking novices."

MacWireless 802.11b PC Card
"
this nice little unit can be used in any Mac with a PC Card slot since it adheres to Wi-Fi standards and comes with OS 9 software written by MacWireless [OS X to arrive Q1 2003!]. You’ll forgive the card for sticking out of the slot about an inch because this gives its built-in antenna extra range (great for mobile warriors with PowerBooks clad in reception-reducing titanium). The unit is an attractive alternative to the AirPort Card since it costs the same, can be installed without cracking the case and works on older PowerBooks which lack Airport slots."
